Grad_bug.jpgThe Geneva College Master of Education in Reading and Special Education programs will host information sessions on Thursday, August 8 and Thursday, October 7, 2013. Both sessions will be held on Geneva's Beaver Falls campus in the Curriculum Room of McKee Hall.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet faculty members to discuss admissions, curriculum and certification in the programs. Also, an optional campus tour will be offered.

Through Geneva′s M.Ed. programs, current teachers can pursue Reading Specialist or Special Education Certification in Pennsylvania. Courses are offered at work-friendly times and include both blended and online formats.

The education faculty uses a collaborative model of teaching that focuses not only on students and course content, but also on the purpose of learning, preparing teachers to serve the needs of students. Graduate students in the M.Ed. programs are prepared to do this through:

  • Strategies that can be used immediately in class
  • Practical field experiences
  • Tools for teaching in an inclusive classroom
  • A Christ-centered perspective
