Bethany, WV - The Geneva women′s tennis teamed opened up the fall season with something to say. Traveling to West Virginia to face the Bethany Bison, Geneva returned with a 9-0 victory. Last season the team ended with a 5-4 mark in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference, which included a player advance to a conference championship match. From today′s results this season promises to hold much of the same success that we saw last year.

During the singles matches Julie Kline, Samantha Jensen, Christine Bullock and Megan Sweyer all walked away without giving up a game in any match. Megan Hinds was right behind her four teammates with only allowing one point in her second match. In the end, the Tornadoes swept the Bison in singles preparing the road for the doubles matches. Brittany Kress and Courtney Light were in a perfect sync for a 8-0 result. Jensen and Jen Bullock found a 8-1 win and Julie Kline and Christine Bullock also found a 8-3 victory in the action.

Monday, September 2nd, the Tennis team will hop back on the road to face Chatham at 4 p.m. After two games away the Golden Tornadoes will host Westminster for their home opener on Friday September 6th at Brady′s Run starting at 4 p.m.
