PAClogo.jpgBeaver Falls, PA - The Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC) announced Thursday evening the addition of Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field as an official PAC sport beginning with the 2014-15 academic year. Youngstown State University has signed a long-term agreement with the PAC for the annual championships to be held at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) on the campus of Youngstown State. The PAC Presidents' Council and Commissioner, Joe Onderko states, "Being able to offer an indoor track and field conference championship event while providing another opportunity to meet the qualifying standards for the NCAA Division III national championships is just the latest step taken by our presidents to showcase the many exciting and high-quality performances of our student-athletes."

Geneva enters the third athletic season as full time NCAA Division III members and continues to aim towards a championship title within the PAC. Geneva′s Head Track and Field coach, Brian Yowler reflects, "At Geneva College, we have competed in Indoor Track and Field for many years, because we believe it is a vital component for the best development of our student-athletes. Therefore, we are very excited that the PAC is now sponsoring it as an official sport. We are also thrilled to partner with YSU to ensure that the PAC Indoor Championships are held at a top-notch facility." Associate Head Track and Field Coach, Jason Wargo, adds to Yowler′s excitement stating, "Our student-athletes have always worked hard because they love it. When you add in the opportunity to obtain a championship you having nothing but good news all-around."
