Beaver Falls, PA - Monday night Geneva hosted the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg Campus Bobcats. Geneva College has suffered two games entering overtime and tonight was no different. Geneva fell into another post regulation game but over came the Bobcats with a 2-1 decision in the 100th minute, raising their record to 4-2-2.

Geneva took possession of the ball for most of the game but had a hard time showing it on the scoreboard. In the 34th minute Sean Bernardi scored his first goal of the season assisted by Nate Musselman and Kyle Terrill. As time passed, Geneva racked up 16 shots on Greensburg′s goal keeper, Galley Brandon. Greensburg′s sixth shot of the night touched Geneva′s far post with enough force to make its′ way to the back of the net in the 83rd minute, tying the game 1-1.

In overtime the Golden Tornadoes put the pressure on full force; shooting six shots in ten minutes. Unable to produce a goal, Geneva and Greensburg went into the second post regulation period. Garrett Masters then connected with Alexander Rosenbaum for the game winning goal, Rosenbaum′s third of the season. Protecting Geneva′s goal throughout the game was Bryan Butler, picking up three saves in the action.

Wednesday Geneva will travel to La Roche for a 4 p.m. game.
