Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College Golden Tornadoes started at 11 a.m. today in Metheny Fieldhouse for a Volleyball match against the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets. Geneva stung the Yellow Jackets in a three game win (25-19, 25-16, 25-19). After a break, Geneva returned to the court at 3 p.m. to face the Grove City Wolverines. In a four game series against the Wolverines the Golden Tornadoes improved their record with the final results 25-21, 25-11, 20-25, 25-12. The two wins improve their record to 7-2, 3-0 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC).
Against Waynesburg, Geneva′s Ashley Davis hit eight kills in nine swings during her one set appearance. Deanna Briody collected 32 assists in the win. On the defensive side of the ball, McKala King led in digs with 14 followed by Alexis Ritson with 12.
On Wednesday Geneva will travel to Thiel for a 7 p.m. match.
