New Wilmington, PA - The Golden Tornadoes are making quite the statement to PAC opponents. Geneva faced Chatham and Westminster both on the Westminster courts in today′s volleyball action. Geneva won both matches, holding onto their perfect PAC record; raising it to 7-0, 12-5 overall.

Geneva opened the night with a three game win over Chatham (25-13, 25-12, 25-9). In the win, Sarah Ormsby led the offense with 11 kills and five service aces. Abby Wenger collected 16 assists. Near the net, Erin Smith found four solo blocks and added a pair of assists at the net. On defense, Alexis Ritson led with 12 digs.

Geneva and Westminster reminded fans why they are long time rivals; the Golden Tornadoes and Titans battled it out to the fifth game with Geneva finishing victorious (25-23, 24-26, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13). A collaboration of people contributed for win including Rachel Netherland with 22 kills followed by Ashley Davis′ 19, Deanna Briody made 58 assists and three service aces and Erin Smith protected the net again with a solo block and took part in five block assists. Bri Dickson was the match′s dig leader with 22 digs supported by Davis with 13.

Saturday Geneva will travel to Mt. Union to face another day of double volleyball competition against Mt. Union at 1 p.m. and Marietta at 4 p.m.
