Geneva Volleyball kept hearts racing as they went 3-1 this week winning against Chatham, Westminster and Marietta and continues to stay perfect in the PAC at 7-0.

Alliance, OH - The Golden Tornadoes traveled to Mt. Union to face both Mt. Union and Marietta during Saturday afternoon. Mt. Union surprised the Golden Tornadoes handing the GT′s a loss in three (25-21, 25-19, 25-22). Geneva salvaged the weekend turning a three game loss into a three game win, defeating Marietta 25-16, 25-17, 25-19. The split gives Geneva a 13-6 overall record, 7-0 in the PAC.

In the match against Mt. Union, Ashley Davis led the offense with 11 kills, 23 assists from Deanna Briody. On the defensive side of the ball, Bri Dickson collected 19 digs followed by Briody with 11. Erin Smith earned a solo block and assisted in another.

In the win over Marietta, Davis led the offensive again with 12 kills in 24 swings. While only giving up 2 errors, Davis finished the game with a .417 hitting percentage. More GT offense included Rachel Netherland with eight kills, Grace Hayes with six kills and Briody earned 28 assists in the three games. Erin Smith continued to secure Geneva′s play around the net with three blocks. Alexis Ritson was Geneva′s top server, serving three aces. On defense, Dixon collected 20 digs and Davis found ten.

Wednesday Geneva will travel to Juniata for another non-conference match starting at 7 p.m.
