Berea, OH - Friday afternoon the Geneva Volleyball faced Baldwin Wallace and Wooster on for a four match weekend Tournament at Baldwin Wallace. The Golden Tornadoes dropped a five set match to host Baldwin Wallace by scores of 25-15, 26-28, 25-22, 18-25, 11-15. Geneva quickly responded by coming back to defeat Wooster in three straight sets with the scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-20. The split costs Geneva a 3-1 overall record.

In the back and forth loss to Baldwin Wallace, Ashley Davis found an early season high of 20 kills with Olivia Test contributing ten kills and Erin Smith nine. With five aces, Test took on the role of leading server. On defense Alexis Ritson collected 34 digs. Dianna Briody had a presence with 25 digs and 40 assists.

To earn the split Geneva found their offensive edge over Wooster. Davis served five aces and Gabrielle Dickson served for three. Test and Davis each had nine kills and Smith hit for 11 kills and jumped for an impressive seven blocks. Briody collected 34 assists in the three game win.

The Golden Tornadoes complete their action packed weekend returning to Baldwin Wallace tomorrow to face Case Western at 10 a.m. and Carnegie Mellon at noon.
