Beaver Falls, PA - Long time NAIA rival, Point Park, met Geneva for their fifth game of the season for a 7:00 p.m. game. Point Park′s two goal threat couldn′t match Geneva′s four goal game resulting in a 4-2 final. The win improves the Golden Tornadoes overall record to 3-2.

Enjoying beautiful soccer under the lights, the Golden Tornadoes possessed most of the first half outshooting Point Park 14-6. In the 14 shots, three made it to the back of the Pioneers′ net. Rhett King was the first to find a Golden Tornado goal at the five minute mark off a pass from midfielder Megan Porter. Five minutes later Caroline Wright collected a Kim Orihel blocked shot from the keeper. Point Park answered but it took them till the 22 minute mark when Emily Levier connected with the ball in the air off a Megan Kuntz pass, heading the ball for a 2-1 game. Thirty seconds later, freshman Kimberly Orihel pressured the Pioneer net right back finding her fourth goal of the season. At the half Geneva was ahead 3-1.

The second half was a different game as Point Park outshot Geneva 12-5. Wright and Kayla Gaines tag teamed for Geneva′s fourth goal, Wright′s second of the match. Karman Culbertson made six saves in the busy game but would give up one more to a beautifully placed shot by Point Park′s Kayla Bentham.

The Golden Tornadoes will host Mount Union on Saturday for their next non-conference game at 2 p.m.
