Women′s Soccer found their first win over Pitt Greensburg Saturday afternoon improving their record to 1-1. They will have a quick turnaround hosting LaRoche for a 7:30 p.m. home opener Monday.

Greensburg, PA - Geneva Women′s Soccer traveled to the University of Pittsburgh′s Greensburg Campus for a 3 p.m. match. Geneva found their first win for the 2013 season over the Bobcats with a 2-0 final. The win brings the women to a 1-1 overall record.

Freshman Kimberly Orihel and senior Elise Mann would be the duo to find the back of the net for the two goal victory. Both Orihel and E. Mann would receive the ball from Heidi Mann for the assists. H. Mann would finish with the most threat to Bobcat keeper Amanda Hydock with 11 shots, five of which on goal. Also contributing to the offensive pressure Geneva game Pitt Greensburg was Orihel with four shots, Hannah Beckhusen with three and Hannah Beckhusen and Megan Porter each taking two. Geneva challenged Hydock with a total of 28 shots, putting 16 on frame. Karmyn Culbertson stepped into the keeper role for Geneva for the second game in a row. Culbertson collected two saves in the action.

The Golden Tornadoes will host LaRoche under the lights for their home opener at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
