Waynesburg, PA- The Geneva College women′s soccer team traveled to Waynesburg Wednesday night and was dealt a 1-0 loss in its second to last game of the year. The Golden Tornadoes have compiled six one goal losses during the season with four of them coming from conference games. This loss leaves Geneva with a PAC record of 2-6 and an overall record of 5-12.

Neither team could find the back of the net until the 89th minute when Yellow Jacket Karleigh Murphey took advantage of a bouncing ball in the box and powered it into the goal. Geneva goalkeeper Anna McMullen only had to make two saves while Waynesburg goalkeeper Ciara Scott was forced to save five. The Yellow Jackets held the edge in shots with 16 to the Golden Tornadoes′ 13. Geneva′s Heidi Mann hit seven of those shots and an impressive four of them were on goal.

The Golden Tornadoes come back to College Hill Saturday to close out their season against the Bethany Bison at 5 p.m. for Senior Night.
