A Geneva-student-powered benefit concert for Geneva College′s Music Department will be held on Friday, November 22. Featuring six student musical acts, tickets for the concert cost two dollars.
"It′s all for the good of the music department," states Ryan Kearns, a senior music business major who is managing the event.
Proceeds from ticket sales will all go to Geneva′s Music Department, and donations will also be accepted during the event.
The six acts that will be performing are: Aaron Roy Fritsch, a campus freshman who will soon release a solo EP; Jungle Rhubarb, an acoustic duo; Red Hands, a five-piece Pittsburgh band making its Geneva debut; The Semi-Supervillains, a Pittsburgh alternative band first formed in 2010; The Misinformation Desk, a band formed this semester and making its first public performance; and Geneva post-metal band The Ocean Walker.
Bands will have merchandise available for purchase.
The event will be held in Johnston Gym. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
