After a successful fall season for Geneva Athletics, it is no surprise that the PAC honors are filled with Geneva student-athletes.

All-ConferenceFall2013.gifBeaver Falls, PA - The Presidents′ Athletic Conference released its All-Conference Honors for fall sports on Tuesday. After a successful fall season for Geneva Athletics, it is no surprise that the PAC honors are filled with Geneva student-athletes.

Women′s Soccer recognized defender Elise Mann and her sister Heidi Mann as First Team All-Conference honorees. Both the Mann sisters played a large part in the Golden Tornadoes success on the soccer pitch throughout the 2013 season. Elise anchored a solid defensive back four and contributed one goal and two assists while Heidi led Geneva in points with six goals and five assists on the season.

Women′s Volleyball also made a fantastic showing by receiving five recognitions in the PAC. Seniors Deanna Briody and Ashley Davis and sophomore Rachel Netherland all earned First Team All-Conference honors. Senior Deanna Briody had her usual remarkable season setting for Geneva as she had 1029 assists for an outstanding 9.71 assists per game. Briody added 39 service aces and 339 digs to her impressive stat line. Senior Ashley Davis had an astounding season above the net as she led the PAC in kills (395) and kills per set (3.76). Rounding out the first team honors, sophomore Rachel Netherland had an incredibly balanced season for the Golden Tornadoes as she contributed 267 kills, 131 assists, 251 digs and 56 blocks in just her second season at Geneva.

Gabrielle Dickson received Second Team All-Conference honors for her tremendous defensive effort as a first-year player at Geneva. Dickson anchored the back row with 413 digs and an impressive 4.21 digs per game. Freshman Olivia Test was also recognized by the PAC as she received Honorable Mention honors. Test contributed 131kills and 46 blocks in her freshman campaign.

Lastly, Men′s Soccer recognized four Geneva student-athletes with PAC honors. Senior Garrett Masters and junior Jeremey Troutman earned First Team All-Conference recognition for the Golden Tornadoes for their efforts in taking the Men′s Soccer team to the PAC playoffs for the third year in a row. Garrett Masters finished out his Geneva career in style as he led the team in goals and total points with six goals and six assists. Masters also contributed two game-winning goals for the Golden Tornadoes. Troutman finished a dominant junior campaign with five goals and six assists for Geneva while leading the team in total shots and shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Bryan Butler and defender Jesse Herman received Honorable Mention honors for their defensive contributions to the 2013 season. Butler started every game in goal for the Golden Tornadoes and had three shutout performances on the season. Herman finishes his career at Geneva as a three year starting outside back. Herman anchored a solid back line for the Golden Tornadoes highlighted by his senior night defensive dominance against Player of the Year Arkangelo James from Bethany College.

Geneva celebrates all of these student-athlete performances as we strive together for excellence both in the classroom and in our athletic program. Football PAC honors will be given after they finish their season.
