At the PAC Championships the Geneva women′s team finished fourth while the men finished ninth. An outstanding 14 Geneva runners achieved personal best times in the meet.

Pittsburgh, PA - The Geneva College Golden Tornadoes′ competed in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships at Chatham today and resulted in multiple Personal Records being shattered. The Geneva Women′s team finished 4th among Conference rivals while the men finished ninth. Combined, 14 Geneva runners ran personal best times in today′s meet.

Alayna Merkle finished second in the meet of 93 conference runners in the women′s 6K with a 22:46.40 final time. Her finish is the highest PAC finish Geneva has ever seen. Head Coach Brian Yowler was pleased to note, "Perhaps the most impressive statistic is that the women′s cross country team ran three minutes faster on the same course than they ran back in September."

In Men′s action, Jake Beschner took on the leadership role with a time of 27:28.60 in the Men′s 8K for a 19th place finish. His finish crushed his old personal record by nearly a minute and earned a PAC Honorable Mention. Not far behind was his co-captain Charles Parker who also ran a personal best for a 41st place finish with a time of 28:34.40.
