mlk_essay_header.jpgIn honor of the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Geneva College is holding an Essay Contest open to all traditional undergraduate students. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges that will award prizes in the amount of $200 for first place, $150 for second place and $75 for third place.

In addition, the writer of the first-place essay will have the opportunity to present the paper to an audience of faculty, staff and students in Skye Lounge on a date to be announced.

Essays must be between seven and 10 pages and written in response to one of four prompts regarding multicultural issues. All entries must be submitted in hard-copy format to Kathy Kinzer-Downs, Director of Multi-Cultural Student Services, or to Dr. Keith Martel, Professor of Higher Education and Core Studies, no later than January 6, 2014.
