The 74-56 final leaves Geneva still winless in conference play

Grove City, PA- Geneva Men′s Basketball have hit an unwanted streak of six losses after facing the Grove City Wolverines in today′s game on the road. The 74-56 final leaves Geneva still winless in conference play at 0-5 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC), 4-10 record overall.

Geneva′s offensive game suffered a 31.8% field goal percentage and 37.5 % in shots beyond the arch during the first half of play. The lost opportunities put Geneva in a deeper hole than desired at the half, 38-24. The second half of play contained slightly higher numbers for the Golden Tornadoes with 33.3% in the field but it would not be enough to close the gap.

The Golden Tornado defense had a busy night in the paint as the Wolverines charged the basket for 36 total points and took advantage of 12-16 foul shots.

Jordan Harbison′s four three-pointers helped get his team high of 19 points. Tyler Damazo and Trevor York worked for seven total rebounds apiece.

The next three games Geneva will enjoy competing at home after playing the last five games on the road. On Wednesday Geneva will host the St. Vincent Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. followed by an additional night game on Saturday. Saturday Geneva welcomes all-time rival Westminster for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off during "Pack the Gym Night" when Geneva fans will attempt to break the modern day attendance record of 2,300.
