Ed Schuster broke the school record in the 55m (6.44) - the #5 fastest 60m time in all of NCAA DIII

Beaver Falls, PA- The Geneva College indoor track and field team saw its first action of 2014 at the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational with juniors Anna Kluitenberg (Pittsburgh, PA) and Ed Schuster (Winter Springs, FL) leading the way for the Golden Tornadoes. Both finished third - Kluitenberg in in the 5000 meter run (19:40.43) and Schuster in the 55 meter dash (6.80).

The men′s 4x200 relay team also finished second in the four team meet with a time of 1:36.45. The team is comprised of junior Ryan White (New Brighton, PA), senior Aaron Marga (Brockport, NY), senior Jesse Herman, and junior Josh Guiser (Fayette City, PA).

Other finishers in the top eight were freshman Rebecca Miller - fourth in the 5000 meter run (20:14.58), senior Matt Logan (Myerstown, PA) - fifth in the shot put (40- 2 ½), freshman Sarah Foy - fifth in the shot put (32-7 ½), freshman Bill Oplinger - fifth in the long jump (19-4 ¾), freshman Michael Salvino - sixth in the 55 meter hurdles (9.17), freshman Madeline Taylor - eighth in the weight throw (32-9 ¾), and junior Glenn Wargo (Grove City) - eighth in the 3000 meters (11:11.19).
