best-colleges-ENGINEERING_PROGRAMS_150.PNG"Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day" is part of a national movement which aims to empower young women to pursue careers in the field of engineering. On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, Geneva College is joining this effort by hosting girls in grades 4 to 12 for dinner and various age-appropriate engineering activities and competitions. A concurrent information session for parents will also be provided.

This event is designed to "show girls how creative and collaborative engineering is and how engineers are changing our world."

Activities will be conducted by female engineering students from Geneva who are members of Geneva′s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). For more than six decades, SWE has "focused on issues of interest to women specializing in engineering and technical careers."

Click here to register. The cost per person is $5, which includes the meal and activities. If a student wishes to purchase a t-shirt, there is an additional cost of $10 per t-shirt.

Check-In for the event begins at 5:15 p.m. in the Benedum Room of Alexander Hall. The event will conclude at 8 p.m.
