gcwbball13105.jpgNEW WILMINGTON, PA - Freshman Nicole Hyland (Penn-Trafford) had 19 points for Geneva but it wasn′t enough to offset an outstanding shooting game by Westminster (14-11, 11-7). The host Titans shot almost 60% from the field in the first half and finished with a 55% mark.

"They shot the ball really well, they didn′t miss much at all," said Geneva coach Lori Wynn, whose team finished at 4-20, 3-15. "Still, we were only down 12 at the half so I thought we could make a run.

"Instead, Westminster made the run. It was their senior night and they played well."

In addition to Hyland, Geneva got 15 points and five assists from sophomore Heidi Mann (Evangelical Christian Academy, CO), freshman Marissa Heaney (Union) tied her career high with 14 points and senior Samantha Fisher (Hopewell) scored 11 in her final game in a Geneva uniform.
