Geneva Basketball Teams Tabbed For Team Sportsmanship Award

gcwbball13064.jpgBeaver Falls, PA- With the conclusion of Basketball season, the Presidents′ Athletic Conferenced tabbed both Geneva men′s and women′s teams for the Team Sportsmanship Award, the men receiving the award for the third consecutive season, the women's program for its second.

Geneva men′s basketball finished with an electrifying week (2-1), upsetting all-time rival Westminster and the #1 seeded Bethany in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC) quarterfinals. Geneva finished with seven wins, 21 losses. Senior Guard, Jordan Harbison (Portersville Christian School), finished as the top three-point shooter in the conference making 94 total in 28 games played. In addition he finished seventh in the conference in scoring.

on the women's side, Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) earned Honorable Mention honors after her second successful campaign. She finished 10th slot in the conference in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per game.

Freshman Nicole Hyland (Penn Trafford, PA/Level Green) led the conference in minutes, averaging 36.6 minutes per game.
