powder5k.jpgGeneva College will host the "Powder to the People 5K" on April 4 at 4:30 p.m. Organized by the Student Programs Office (SPO), the 5K will be held on campus and is open to all students and faculty.

Stations where people will throw colored powder on the runners will be established at various locations throughout the course. Those participating in the 5K are asked to wear a white t-shirt as "it is an event that reaches not only the runners but those who like to have fun and get dirty," explained Student Program Coordinators Amanda Webber and Tommy Corwin.

"Powder to the People 5K" is an effort to promote health and wellness on campus in a fun and engaging manner. "We hope to cultivate community through a shared experience everyone can participate in," said Webber and Corwin.

Registration, which ends Sunday, March 23 at midnight, is $8 per person. All participants will receive a "Powder to the People 5K" t-shirt.

Additional information and registration is available through the SPO by stopping in the office located in the upper level of the Student Center or calling 724-847-6644. Or register online.
