WIAB_Father_Son_Walking_Banner_jpg.jpgGeneva College will host "Walk for Water" on March 28, 2014 in Beaver Falls, PA. Organized by the members of Geneva′s chapter of Alpha Chi, a national college honor society, two walks will be held, one at 10:10 a.m. and another at 4 p.m.

"Walk for Water" will reflect the trek millions of people face each day as they travel miles to access a clean water source. Participants will be carrying buckets and have the opportunity to fill them with water part way through the walk.

Proceeds and donations from the walk will go toward the $5,000 fundraising goal to help support a safe water community development project in partnership with Water Missions International (WMI). WMI is a non-profit organization that builds and maintains clean water systems all over the world in developing nations.

The walk is family-friendly and open to the public. Walkers will meet at the J.B. Johnston Clock located in the center of Geneva′s campus.
