Fort Pierce, Fl - Most college baseball games are played to a seven-inning conclusion but, to get more innings in, Geneva and Hilbert played nine in Florida.

In hindsight, Geneva would probably rather have played six instead.

After six, the Golden Tornadoes led 4-1 but Hilbert took the lead with four in the seventh and three in the ninth. Geneva did manage a late rally with two runs in the ninth but fell 8-6. For the third straight game, Geneva out-hit its oppposition but couldn′t turn the hits into enough runs. Jeremy Herzog (Freedom), Dan Jeffreys (Moon), Shane Wingard (Apollo-Ridge) and Adam Teets (Freedom) each had a pair of hits and Donnie Tong (Tree of Life Christian, OH) had a home run.

Geneva will continue Florida play Monday with a doubleheader at St. Mary′s College (FL).
