NCAA D3 Week is Here! There is still time to sign up your dodgeball team Monday during lunch and dinner at Alex′s

Beaver Falls, PA- As proud members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, Geneva College hosts Division III Week with the rest of the nation saying ‘thank you′ and ‘well done′ to our Golden Tornado student-athletes.

The NCAA Division III Week is an annual positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. During the week, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement. The 2014 Division III Week begins Monday, April 7 and runs through Sunday, April 13. (http://www.ncaa.org/division-iii-week-2014)

Geneva′s student-athlete advisory committee (SACC) is organizing multiple events during this time. All of campus is invited to join the Geneva Athletic Department and the NCAA in celebrating our Division III student-athletes by participating in these events.

April 5th @ 10am -noon : Campus Cleanup followed by student-athlete cookout

April 7-8th : Dodge ball Tournament

The charge of $2 a person to participate in the Dodge ball tournament will go towards local non-profit, Big Brothers Big Sisters. Signup sheets are available in the Brig and field house lobby. Please fill out the signup sheet form and submit to Coach Sumner (Women′s Soccer) by Friday, April 4.
