‘Personalities of the PAC’

Davis highlighted in ‘Personalities of the PAC′

312101.jpgBeaver Falls, PA - Senior volleyball and softball student-athlete, Ashley Davis (New Middletown, OH / Springfield Local) is today′s Presidents′ Athletic Conference ‘Personalities of the PAC′ highlight in light of NCAA Division III Week. Davis has been a presence both on the volleyball court and on the softball field during her career as a Golden Tornado. She has been honored as the Geneva female student-athlete of the week, PAC student-athlete of the week, Geneva′s first ever Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Women Player of the Week, PAC conference team in both volleyball and softball, NCCAA All-region conference team for both sports, and as an active member of the PAC Championship team for both Volleyball and Softball in 2011.

In the Presidents′ Athletic Conference′s article, Davis is asked "Why Division III?" Her opening response to the question is but quite simply in her opening statement, "easy." Davis continued, "There are a number of reasons I am thankful to be a Division III student-athlete. Growing up, I was involved in many different sports, often jumping right from one season to the next. Division III has allowed me to play both volleyball and softball without conflict. I have enjoyed participating in both because I have formed many new friendships, and to be honest, I might have just been bored only playing one. Different experiences with the two teams have played a huge role in shaping my college career."
