Geneva College will host the final 2013-2014 Geneva Reading Series event on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in the McCartney Library.
The fourth part to the Reading Series is themed "A New, New Hope," and features the following student readers: sophomore writing major Andrew Calvetti, senior writing major Leah MacDonald, junior philosophy major Olivia Mitchell, junior communication major Noah Staudenbaur and sophomore engineering major Darrin Tarasovich.
Sharing his excitement for the event, English professor Dr.Daniel Williams says, "We have some of Geneva's top minds coming to share; top minds and a miracle: Olivia Mitchell will bring us her story."
Mitchell will speak about her recovery from a car accident that occurred in January 2014.
MacDonald added, "I′m excited to see what Dr. Williams has cooked up. I think we can all agree that he's a character, and I appreciate that he's trying to encourage unity on campus through the events."
Reading Series events are open to all literary forms including, but not limited to, poetry, blogging, essayists, dramatists and flash-fictioners. They are free and the public is welcome.
