New Wilmington, PA - Playing its six game in three days now that spring has arrived, the Geneva baseball team allowed Westminster to take an 8-0 lead after six innings and a late comeback wasn′t enough. Geneva is now 6-15 and 2-6 in Presidents′ Athletic Conference play.

The Golden Tornadoes did manage five of their 11 hits in the final three innings to score three runs but all 11 hits were singles. Ryan McGonigle (Apollo-Ridge), Shane Wingard (Apollo-Ridge), and J.C. Ackerman (Worthington Christian, OH) all had three hits for Geneva. Tanner Propst (Cumberland Valley Christian, PA) pitched five innings and took the loss.

The Golden Tornadoes get a welcome day off Thursday and return to play Friday at Waynesburg.
