gc-bb-4-14-289.jpgGrove City, PA - Geneva′s bats came alive and won a pair at Grove City as Andy Santana (Desert Christian, Dominican Republic) led the way. He finished with four hits and four runs batted in on the day, including a 3-run home run in the third inning that gave Geneva all the runs it would need.

"We had a strong offensive attack in both games, led by Andy Santana," said Geneva coach Alan Sumner. "We got great pitching, too, behind Ian McDonald and Tanner Propst in game one and Drew Nichols and Jeff Parker in the second."

In the first game, both Jeremy Herzog (Freedom) and Anthony Montaparte (Latrobe) had three hits while Donnie Tong (Tree of Life Christian, OH), Ryan McGonigle (Apollo-Ridge), and Santana each had two.

In the second, Jake Debo (New Brighton) had a pair of doubles while Tyler Damazo (Blackhawk), Shane Wingard (Apollo-Ridge) and Dan Jeffreys (Moon) each had a pair of hits as the Golden Tornadoes finished with 10 hits.

Geneva, now 11-21 and 7-9 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference, returns to action Friday for a single game at Washington & Jefferson.
