Sports Information survey participation update on tradition and thanks

SB2_4779.jpgBeaver Falls, PA - Starting on April 16th through April 25th the Sports Information Department opened up a survey for the campus and faculty and staff to participate in. The aim of the survey is to help the Sports Information office grow in knowledge of the current game day experience at Geneva and the demographics that go along with it. For years Geneva has been known for having the rare combination of a smaller Christian Institution with a large fan base on game days.

Just this past football season, Geneva football was ranked fifth in the nation in home game day attendance among NCAA Division III schools averaging nearly 5,000 spectators per game during its five home game schedule during the 2013 season.

In addition, the Metheny Fieldhouse was packed with over 1,400 fans this season to welcome all-time rival Westminster, resulting in a classic overtime competition.

Geneva Sports Information thanks all 148 students that took the time to participate in the survey along with the 103 faculty and staff members that also filled out the survey. The information will be very useful as Geneva Sports Information strives to continue to keep alive the one-of-a-kind experience of a Christian Education Institution with a packed out athletic event.
