Geneva College′s Office of Student Leadership Development recognized the good work of student leaders with a new awards ceremony: The Golden Leadership Awards (GLAs).

"Student leaders at Geneva College do difficult and important work for the campus community," stated Director of Student Leadership Development Brian Jensen. "There are nearly 150 student leaders within GC Life and about 125 student leaders serving as club officers. This year, to honor and recognize their good work, GC Life and Clubs have partnered to put together GLAs.

Awards and recipients are as follows:

  • GC Life Distinguished Leader of the Year - Katie Amig and Tim Wright
  • GC Life Servant Leader of the Year - Sami Johnson and Katie Horn
  • GC Life Team of the Year - Center for Faith and Practice
  • GC Life Program of the Year - Covey Cup
  • GC Life Rookie of the Year - Jade Harris
  • GC Life Supervisor of the Year - Connie Erwin
  • GC Life[time] Achievement - Sean Campbell
  • Club of the Year (based on point total) - Chemistry Club
  • Excellence in Leadership (2 officers) - Ian Stear and Bonnie Newman
  • Outstanding Service Award - Cheerleading Club
  • People′s Choice Award - Superfans
  • Advisor of the Year - Caleb Musselman
  • New Club of the Year - Students Against Modern Slavery
