Geneva College is pleased to sponsor an upcoming Casting Crowns concert at the CONSOL Energy Center in early December of 2014. The concert, which is part of the Casting Crowns Thrive Tour, is produced by Generation: Exodus and features special guests Mandisa and Sidewalk Prophets.

Through an exclusive offer, a limited amount of deeply discounted tickets are available through Geneva College at the reduced price of $25 each, including all fees. Comparable tickets purchased through other sources cost $48. Plus, all tickets bought through the college are for a special reserved-seating section and come with a free Geneva snapback hat.

Casting Crowns has earned over 20 music awards, including several Dove Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and one Grammy Award. They also have over 5 million career album sales and eight chart-topping radio singles, including "East to West" and "Until the Whole World Hears."

Lead singer Mark Hall has about 20 years of experience as a youth pastor, and the band′s message remains rooted in student ministry. Hall says, "Our main purpose, above all else, is to know him more." According to the band′s website, their calling is to set discipleship to music and pour their hearts into the students and families that they encounter along the way.

Mandisa, whose career began in the fifth season of the hit television show American Idol, recently won a Grammy for her album Overcomer.

Sidewalk Prophets, a contemporary group from Nashville, Tennessee, won the 2010 Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.
