Geneva College joins the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), official June 1, 2014. Over the last 75 years the ECAC has developed into the nation′s largest conference with over 300 members ranging in all three divisions within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Geneva College has one year of experience as members of the ECAC. During the 2009-2010 academic year, while the Golden Tornadoes transitioned from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to the NCAA Division III within the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC), Geneva was a member of the ECAC. In the summer of 2010, Geneva decided to narrow down its membership to the NCAA DIII within the PAC (Bethany, Chatham, Geneva, Grove City, St. Vincent, Thiel, Thomas More, Washington & Jefferson, Waynesburg, and Westminster) and members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) only.

"We are extremely excited to be rejoining the ECAC. The ECAC schedule coincides perfectly with NCAA Division III which will give our student-athletes more post-season opportunities as well as individual and team honors," commented Geneva Athletic Director, Van Zanic.

This time, Geneva′s move forward as full-fledged members of the ECAC leaves behind its membership with the NCCAA.

"To say we have enjoyed our time as a member of the NCCAA would be a vast understatement,"added Zanic. "As a charter member of the NCCAA, it is a bittersweet decision to discontinue that relationship. However, as a full-fledged member of NCAA Division III, the ECAC is simply a better fit for us financially, geographically and competitively."

Geneva College invites students to accept the challenge of an academically excellent, Christ-centered education. Offering nearly 40 undergraduate majors, Adult Degree Programs with fully online and campus-based options, and seven graduate degrees, Geneva has programs that place students at the forefront of higher learning. Adhering to the inerrancy of Scripture, a Geneva education is grounded in God′s word as well as in a core curriculum designed to prepare students vocationally to think, write and communicate well in today′s world.
