USA Football Network Inc Selects Geneva′s Schuster and Martin

USASchMar.jpgBeaver Falls, PA- Geneva′s Ed Schuster (Winter Springs, FL/Winter Springs) and Timothy Martin (Moon Township, PA/Moon) have been recognized by the USA Football Network, Inc. in its 26th publication of USA College Football Division III Pre-Season All-American Teams.

Defensive back Ed Schuster, was selected as part of the 3rd team (defense) by the USA Football Network, adding to his honorable mention decoration from the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC) for his work in the 2013 season. Schuster compiled 60 total tackles, 1.5 TFL (three yards), four pass break ups, four passes defended, one forced fumble and one block kick during his junior season. In addition, Schuster is Geneva's punter, averaging 32.3 yards a punt with a 56 yard long punt last season.

Rising sophomore defensive back Timothy Martin received USA Football Network honorable mention (defense) after his tremendous freshman campaign that also earned him the 2013 PAC Newcomer Award. Martin led the league in both interceptions (6) and passes defended (20). Martin also ranked second in all of NCAA Division III in passes defended per game (2.0).

Schuster and Martin were selected by a national panel including Head Coaches, Sports information directors, members of the football writers association of American, Metropolitan New York Football Writers Association, New England Football Writers Association and Philadelphia Football Writers, pro football scouts plus staff journalists of Lindey′s Sports Annuals, The Sports Network and USA Football News.
