MEDIA14.jpgLatrobe, PA- Geneva Football was selected sixth in the 2014 Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC) football preseason poll. Geneva enters its fourth year as a member of the PAC after a 5-5 2013 season finish. The 2014 season marks the start of Case Western Reserve University and Carnegie Mellon University as members of the league within football competition allotting 11 conference opponents for the football Golden Tornadoes.

Joining Head Coach Geno DeMarco in Latrobe, PA at the 2014 PAC football media day was senior returning starter defense lineman, Brett Alberti. 2013 conference honorable mention, Alberti, contributed 5.5 TFL, a pair of sacks, recovered a fumble and forced a fumble last season. In addition to the players to watch list are 2013 honorable mention teammates defensive back Ed Schuster (Winter Springs, FL/Winter Springs), wide receiver Lemuel Fuller (Forest Park, GA/Forest Park), running back Dylan Jones (New Castle, PA/Laurel) and the 2013 PAC Newcomer Award winner, defensive back, Tim Martin (Moon Township, PA/Moon) after a tremendous freshman campaign.

Geneva starts the 2014 football season at Frostburg State Saturday September 6th at 7 p.m. The Golden Tornadoes season home opener will be under the lights Saturday September 13th at 7 p.m. against Grove City.
