Beaver Falls, PA- Nate Cannon (Palm Beach Gardens, FL/Kings Academy) found the attention of the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for the second week in a row. For his work against Grove City on Saturday, Cannon was selected as the Corvias ECAC Division III Southwest Rookie of the Week (September 14, 2014).
Cannon returned six punts (135 yards) in Saturday′s 42-0 win over Grove City under Reeves Field lights. His first quarter 50-yard punt return set up Geneva′s first trip to the end zone. Defensively, Cannon finished the night with three solo tackles, one pass break up and an interception in the second quarter, helping the Golden Tornadoes record their first shutout since 2005.
