gcm-soccer-9-14-110.jpgBeaver Falls, PA- Geneva junior Alexander Rosenbaum (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) put Geneva ahead by one goal twice - once when he opened the scoring in the 53rd minute and the final time when he scored in the 10th minute of overtime to give the Golden Tornadoes a 3-2 win over Carnegie Mellon University.

Geneva remains undefeated on the season with a 4-0-1 record.

"We surged and scored two goals but gave them back," said Geneva coach Gary Dunda. "The big thing, though, is that we never gave up. This team just finds a way to win."

"Alexander played a fantastic game and Jeremy Troutman was an unbelievable force out there, controlling the play."

Troutman (Millerstown, PA/Midd-West) recorded an assist on Rosenbaum′s first goal as did Gib McCracken (Beaver Falls/Beaver County Christian School). Geneva′s second goal, just 25 seconds later, was scored by Josh Brenize (Chambersburg) on an assist by Clayton Cox (Chambersburg).

Those goals looked to be enough until Carnegie Mellon′s Brandon Peck scored with 7.1 seconds to tie the game at 2-2 and send the game into overtime.Rosenbaum′s overtime goal was assisted by Robert Butler (Milelrsville, MD/Annapolis Christian).
