Beaver Falls, PA- A goal by Geneva College junior Daniel Cox (Cary, NC) in the 74th minute with the Golden Tornadoes down a player because of a red card gave Geneva a 2-1 win over Allegheny. The men′s soccer team, now 3-0-1, extended its season opening undefeated streak to four games.

"Allegheny is a very quality team and they′re very hard to beat with 11 players," said Geneva coach Gary Dunda. "Defeating them a man short is great."

"We did it with a great goal, too. Nate Musselman, Brandon Crider and Cox combined with Cox scoring a nearside goal.

"That made it a very interesting game and it was a good win. Winning these games, we′re trying to make it a habit."

Geneva opened the scoring in the fourth minute on a goal by junior Alexander Rosenbaum (Chambersburg, PA).

Senior goalkeeper Bryan Butler (Millersville, MD/Annapolis Christian) made four saves in the win and Spencer Edwards (Winter Springs, FL), Nate Musselman (Uniontown, OH/Green), and Brandon Crider (Marion, PA/Shalom Christian Academy) recorded assists.

Geneva continues its season Wednesday, hosting Carnegie Mellon University.
