Beaver Falls, PA- The Presidents′ Athletic Conference has selected junior Rachel Netherland (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) as its volleyball player of the week (September 22, 2014).
Netherland′s multi-set abilities become obvious in the week′s 3-0 finish. Netherland found herself in every aspect of the game facing Franciscan, Waynesburg, and Grove City. In ten sets she racked up 21 kills (2.10 kills/set), compiled 74 assists (7.40 assists/set), and 24 digs (2.40 digs/set) while hitting .259 percent. Around the net, Netherland earned seven blocks. To top it all off she served six ace serves.
