Super Fans Bring Back GT Victory Bell Ring

SuperFans.jpgBeaver Falls, PA- Have you been hearing a bell ringing on campus that doesn′t match up to the quarter hour? The Super Fans club is bringing back the classic tradition of ringing the victory bell.

The tradition was restored on September 3, 2014 at 4 p.m. in honor of the volleyball win against Chatham and has continued throughout the week. The Super Fans will be ringing the bell for every Geneva athletics victory, whether home or away. According to their mission statement the Super Fans "exists as a means to promote school spirit, pride, and community through Christ-like support of Geneva sports teams, and, at the same time, create an enriching atmosphere for all fans, students, faculty, and families alike."

Geneva's Athletic Director, Van Zanic commented, "Geneva College has a great tradition of Athletics and many of those traditions revolve around our student body and the great support we have received over the years. We are very fortunate to have a passionate base of students that have great school spirit and their willingness to bring back the tradition of ringing the victory bell will bring additional excitement across campus."

Geneva College invites students to accept the challenge of an academically excellent, Christ-centered education. Offering nearly 40 undergraduate majors, Adult Degree Programs with fully online and campus-based options, and seven graduate degrees, Geneva has programs that place students at the forefront of higher learning. Adhering to the inerrancy of Scripture, a Geneva education is grounded in God′s word as well as in a core curriculum designed to prepare students vocationally to think, write and communicate well in today′s world.
