Geneva volleyball splits at home after Thiel loss

Beaver Falls, PA- Geneva volleyball invited the Chatham Cougars and Thiel Tomcats for the Golden Tornadoes season home opener. Geneva defeated Chatham at 4 p.m. in three games (25-8, 25-8, 25-13). Chatham remained on the court to face Thiel in a 6 p.m. match. Thiel took the win from the Cougars (25-4, 25-10, and 25-11). Wrapping up the night, Geneva and Thiel meet for an 8 p.m. game resulting in a loss for the Golden Tornadoes after four games (21-25, 25-7, 21-25, 22-25). The night′s split hands Geneva a 3-3 overall record.

"Consistency is everything" said co-head coach Curt Conser. "I believe I mentioned it in a previous quote this season already, it is very important."

Geneva is back on the road this weekend to compete in the University of Mary Washington (VA) volleyball tournament.
