Point Park′s long goal prolongs Geneva Women′s Soccer Losing Streak

Pittsburgh, PA- Geneva Women′s Soccer record drops to 1-7 after facing Point Park at Pittsburgh′s Highmark Stadium with a 1-0 final.

"I′m proud of our team for playing hard for 90 minutes. It was a tough one" said head coach Linda Sumner.

Playing hard earned junior midfielder Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) and senior forward Rhetta King (Waynesburg, PA/Open Door Christian) were able to get shots on frame for the Golden Tornadoes.

On the other end of the field, junior goalkeeper Anna McMullen (Uniontown, OH/Lake Center Christian) saved ten shots.

Point Park found the back of the Golden Tornadoes net in the 40th minute of the game.

On Saturday, September 27th Geneva hosts Mt. Union at 2 p.m. for its last game before conference play on October 3rd at Thiel College.
