Greenville, PA -The Geneva College men’s soccer team opened its Presidents’ Athletic Conference schedule with a 3-0 win at Thiel is far less than favorable conditions.

“A front rolled in about 15 minutes before game time,” said Geneva coach Gary Dunda. “It was raining sideways.

“But we got a good effort from all of our guys and it was a good win. It’s always good to open conference play with a win.”

Sean Bernardi (Jr., Butler, PA/Butler) opened the scoring for the Golden Tornadoes in the 10th minute and Brandon Crider (So., Marion, PA/Shalom Christian Academy) made the halftime lead 2-0 with a goal in the 38th minute.

Abel Carleton (Fr., Darlington, PA/Beaver County Christian School) closed the scoring with a goal in the 88th minute.

Now 6-3-2 and 1-0-0, the Golden Tornadoes return to action Thursday, hosting Thomas More.
