Rain doesn′t help Geneva tennis at St. Vincent; 7-2 final

Latrobe, PA- Geneva tennis experienced one of the longest matches of its season after having to move indoors at St. Vincent College due to rain. The 3:30 p.m. start match did not have a final score until 10 p.m. with Geneva behind. The 7-2 final lowers Geneva′s overall record to 6-7, 2-6 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC).

Geneva′s two wins came from Sara Stoll (Norwalk, OH/Norwalk) and Megan Hinds (Montrose, PA/Montrose) at the number two doubles spot (8-5) and Hinds also winning her single match (6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (5)).

"This was kind of a tough day for our final match but we did take a couple of key wins heading into the PAC Championship next week. I am very excited to have our number two doubles team finish the season with a 12-1 record," commented head coach Mandee Craft.

Friday October 24 Geneva will travel to Erie, PA to compete in the conference championship tournament.
