Pittsburgh, PA– Junior Ethan Adamczyk (Uniontown, OH/Lake) continued his strong start to the season, scoring 19 points, but it wasn’t enough as Geneva dropped its first road game of the season, 82-53 at Carnegie-Mellon.

“CMU is a very good team and a very big team,” said Geneva coach Jeff Santarsiero. “But we didn’t execute well but we’ll get Tyler Damazo back from an injury and get ready for Friday.”

Geneva played the Tartans close for most of the first half and trailed by just five with 1:50 left but CMU had a late run to extend the lead to 11 at intermission.

Adamczyk’s former high school teammate Chaese Vaudrin, now a sophomore, added 14 for the Golden Tornadoes, who return to action at home Friday against Pitt Greensburg at 7:30.
