Geneva freshman Nate Cannon named first team All-PAC

Beaver Falls, PA– Leading the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in interceptions with seven, Geneva freshman Nate Cannon (Palm Beach Gardens, FL/Kings Academy) was named first team All-PAC in voting released today. He was the only freshman named first-team on either side of the ball and was also named honorable mention as a kick returner. He finished with 37 yards on the seven interception returns, 359 yards on 23 punt returns (one touchdown), 324 yards on 18 kickoffs, made 41 tackles, and recorded 15 passes defended.

Three Geneva players were also named honorable mention selections on each side of the ball. Offensively, senior lineman Mike Underwood (Beloit, OH/West Branch), junior wide receiver Lemuel Fuller (Forest Park, GA/Forest Park) and sophomore Devin Kelosky (Ellwood City, PA/Riverside) was selected as an all-purpose player. Fuller finished with a team-high 49 receptions for 585 yards and two touchdown while Kelosky had 17 catches for 199 yards and three scores.

Defensively, senior linebacker Nick Goforth (Inwood, WV/Mussleman), junior defensive back Thomas Benyo (Berlin Center, OH/Western Reserve), and sophomore linebacker Jimmy Quinlan (Brookfield, OH/Brookfield) were all named honorable mention selections. Goforth had 68 tackles, 10 for losses, and three sacks. Benyo had 72 tackles and three interceptions and Quinlan had a team-high 88 tackles, seven for loss.

Geneva finished with a 3-7 record.
