Newville, PA– The Geneva cross country teams ended its’ seasons today at the NCAA Mid East Regional Championship meet. The men’s team finished 39th overall, the women 31st.

“Our senior captains, Glenn (Grove City, PA/Home School) and Anna Wargo, showed great senior leadership in their last cross country meet by running their season-best times today,” said head coach Brian Yowler.

Freshman standout Madison French (Linesville, PA/Conneaut Area) finished strong despite the fact she ran the second mile without one shoe and barefoot the last mile.

Becca Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) and Sam Batchelder (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) also finished strong with season best times.
