NEW WILMINGTON, PA - Geneva connected on just a third of its shots from the field and it wasn’t nearly enough as the Golden Tornadoes trailed for just a few seconds in the first half before falling to archrival Westminster. The host Titans, on the other hand, hit on half its shots in winning its first Presidents’ Athletic Conference game of the season.

“We definitely didn’t shoot well,” said Geneva coach Lori Wynn. “We never could find our rhythm and didn’t rise to the challenge.”

“We played hard and finished strong but couldn’t get shots to fall.”

Geneva was led by junior Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) with 15 points while sophomore Miranda Heaney (New Castle/Union) and senior Chelsea Kauffman (New Castle/Neshannock) each had 12.

The Golden Tornadoes, now 4-11 and 2-6, will return home Wednesday to host Waynesburg at 5:30 p.m.
