Beaver Falls, PA – Thursday afternoon the Presidents’ Athletic Conference released the 2015 baseball preseason poll that pegged Geneva as seventh among PAC competition.

Entering their fourth year as NCAA Division III members, the Golden Tornadoes finished last season 12-26, 8-15 in the league.

“The preseason poll is a direct reflection on how last season ended,” said Head coach Alan Sumner.

“We know it’s not where you begin the season but where you end and our goal is to end the season in the PAC playoffs.”

With five seniors returning combined with experienced infield and bullpen, the PAC’s players to watch in old gold and white included right handed pitcher Zach Ackerman (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian), righty pitcher Ian Macdonald (Grantham, PA/West Shore Christian Academy), righty pitcher Jeff Parker (Green Brook, NJ/Timothy Christian), and shortstop Andy Santana (San Pedro de Marcoris, DR/Desert Christian).

Monday, March 9 the Golden Tornadoes open their season at Lawnwood Complex in Fort Pierce, Florida against Martin Luther College at 9 a.m.
