PAC Selects Ethan Adamcyzk as Player of Week After Stellar Week

adamcyzkBeaver Falls, PA – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) selected junior Ethan Adamcyzk (Uniontown, OH/ Lake) as the league’s men’s basketball player of the week for his outstanding week (February 1-8, 2015).

Adamcyzk led both the offensive and defensive sides of the game for the Golden Tornadoes in their 2-0 week with 38 points and 20 rebounds. He made 16 of 21 free throws (76.2%) and recorded five assists as well.

The 6’4 guard started his stellar week at Washington & Jefferson College with 13 points and a team high of 15 rebounds, his third double-double of the season. After coming from seven points behind on Wednesday to defeat W&J, Saturday Geneva came back from a 10 point deficit to defeat Grove City at home in overtime, 83-81. Adamczyk scored a season-high 25 points in the win – tying Jimmy Leichliter’s (Connellsville, PA/ Connellsville) performance at W&J as the most points by a Golden Tornado this season.

For the season, Adamczyk leads the Golden Tornadoes in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game and also averages 5.5 rebounds per game.  

The Golden Tornadoes continue into conference play this week hosting the Thomas More Saints Wednesday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. and will travel to Waynesburg University Saturday, February 14 for another weekend night game with tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
