Waynesburg, PA – Waynesburg jumped ahead early and used a tremendous rebounding advantage to keep Geneva from any chance of coming back. The Golden Tornadoes fell 88-53.

“When you allow your opponent to get 25 offensive rebounds, that about tells the story,” said Geneva coach Lori Wynn as the Yellow Jackets outrebounded Geneva 57-32 overall.

“All we can do now is regroup and finish strong for the seniors on senior day.”

Geneva’s only bright spot was junior Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) as she pursued 1000 points. She had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Geneva and now has 980 points, six points behind Jodie Tagliaferri in 12th place in career scoring at Geneva.

Geneva, now 4-20 and 2-15 in Presidents’ Athletic Conference play, will close the regular season at home Saturday night at 5:30 p.m., hosting Westminster.
